Located on 116 beautiful acres in Houston County, MN, Camp Winnebago lends itself to many of nature’s finest activites: hiking our bluffs and trails, fishing for trout in the winnebago Creek, camping out at Hidden Hope Island, and canoeing at the pond.

We also have a swimming pool, barn and nature building, sports field, picnic area, music and crafts rooms, a large dining hall and modern cabins.

A network of sidewalks and ramps make for easy access to all camp buildings and program areas.

Camp Winnebago is a private, non-profit 501C3 organization dedicated to serving the recreational, social and educational needs of adults and children with developmental disabilities. We welcome any individual age six and older.

Our mission is "To enhance, through a diversity of experiences, the self worth, independence, and quality of life of people with developmental disabilities."

Our camp staff is one of our strongest assets. This group of caring, responsible individuals from throughout the nation and from other countries, is specifically recruited and professionally trained to work with campers with developmental disabilities.

The vast majority of our summer staff are working in or towards service careers and have a strong desire to serve others.

Our camper to counselor ratio is either two to one or one to one based on the needs of the individual camper. Staff make sure that each of our participants have the needed care and attention they deserve.

Campers enjoy a variety of experiences at Camp Winnebago ranging from recreation to nature activities to arts & crafts to music & drama in a safe, caring environment.
